GUMAMIT ang Rain or Shine ng matinding ratsada sa huling yugto para mapigilan ang Barako Bull, 96-93, sa kanilang PLDT Home TVolution PBA Governors’ Cup game kahapon sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Nagtala si Arizona Reid ng 34 puntos, 13 rebounds at limang assists para pamunuan ang Elasto Painters na umangat sa 2-3 kartada.

Samantala, makakatunggali ni Jeffrey Cariaso ang kanyang guro sa pagtugis ng Barangay Ginebra sa ikaapat na sunod na panalo kontra defending champion San Mig Coffee sa kanilang PBA Governors Cup game mamayang alas-5:15 ng hapon sa Araneta Coliseum.

Sa unang laro sa ganap na alas-3 ng hapon, sisikapin ng Meralco na maisubi ang unang panalo laban sa Alaska Milk.
Ngayo’y head coach ng Gin Kings, naihatid ni Cariaso ang kanyang koponan sa tatlong panalo laban sa Globalport (89-71), Meralco (95-82) at Air21 (84-76) para sa unang puwesto.

Makakaharap ni Cariaso si Tim Cone na tinulungan niya sa kampo ng Mixers na nagkampeon sa huling tatlong kumperensiya. Lumipat siya sa Gin Kings kapalit ni Renato Agustin bago nagsimula ang Governors’ Cup.

“Going up against coach Tim is exciting. It’s going to be hard. They’re a champion team,” ani Cariaso. Ang Mixers ay may
3-1 karta. Sinimulan nila ang pagdedepensa sa korona sa pamamagitan ng 76-66 panalo sa Barako Bull bago natalo sa San Miguel Beer, 92-90.
