Pinay wrestler humingi ng tulong sa Japan para sa Yolanda victims

Meron palang Pinay na wrestler. And she’s making us proud, ha. We’re talking about Syuri Kondo who is currently in the country dahil nagbigay siya ng tulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Yolanda.

Admirable ang ginawa ni Syuri. Talagang kinapalan niya ang mukha niya at humingi siya ng financial help sa mga kasama niyang wrestlers sa Japan.

Nakakolekta pala ng P190,000 si Syuri which she donated sa hometown ng kanyang madir na si Lucy Kondo. Sa Leyte lumaki at nakaisip ang madir ni Syuri.

Nag-audition pala sa malaking network studio itong si Syuri and with her skills sa shoot boxing and kick boxing ay sa wrestling siya napunta. Nag-model rin siya for fashion magazines sa Japan.

Sa kanyang seven professional wrestling fights ay never pang natalo si Syuri, “Gusto kong maging sikat na wrestler kaya kahit masakit ay hindi ko iniintindi,” sabi niya sa interview namin sa kanya.

Since she does not speak our language ay naging interpreter niya ang kanyang ina at isang kaibigan. With her fights ay na-injure na rin ang dalaga. Nagkaroon siya ng lacerations sa lips at na-deform ang kanyang nose.

“May kaba ako once na lumaban pero once na nasa loob na ako ng ring ay kailangang palitan ko ang aking nararamdaman,” sabi niya.

Ang immediate goal ni Syuri ay maging role model ng mga girls when it comes to wrestling. Come Jan. 25, Syuri will display the stuff that she is made of as a wrestler with the first wrestling tournament in the country to be held at Ynares Sports Arena  para sa Reina Women’s World Championship promotion.
