SINIGURO ng aktres at staff ni Sen. Robin Padilla na si Nadia Montenegro na kahit abala siya sa trabaho ay hindi lumilipas ang araw na hindi niya natsitsek ang mga anak.
Tanda namin nu’ng ikuwento ni Nadia sa nakaraang mediacon ni Sen. Robin tungkol sa pagpa-file niya nito ng Senate Bill 2573 o Cannabis Medicalization Act of the Philippines ay aminadong “very nanay” pa rin siya kahit nasa tamang edad na ang mga anak.
Kahit naman daw noong buhay pa ang ama ng kanyang walong anak na si dating Mayor Boy Asistio (SLN) ay ganito na siya ka-hands on bagay na nagustuhan sa kanya ng yumaong partner.
Anyway, kaya kami nagbalik-tanaw ay dahil nabasa namin ang post ni Nadia sa kanyang Facebook account na mami-miss niya ang mga anak dahil ilang araw niyang hindi makikita ang mga ito.
May kanya-kanyang lakad daw kasi out of town at out of the country ang mga anak at abala naman sa trabaho ang iba at ang dalawang nag-aaral ay busy sa pag-aaral at siya naman ay may lakad din.
Sabi ng aktres, “Yssa off to Japan, Ynna in Subic, Yana in Dumaguete doing an ocular for her wedding, Ykka busy working in her digital comp…so goes with my Xander busy in real estate, Sam, Ysha and Sophia loaded with school work. Me off to a commitment in Cebu.
“As a mother…Yes I miss my BABIES BIGTIME! But how can I complain, when everything that is happening in their lives are ‘answered prayers’?!
“I asked God to give them everything I can’t and everything that they pray for. And He did! As always, He does! He will! He can!” mensahe ni Nadia.
Naalala pa raw niya noong mga bata pa ang mga anak ay lagi siyang kasama at sa kanya lang umaasa, pero ngayon ay kay kanya-kanyang buhay na.
“Bittersweet. They’re all grown now. This is the moment I can say ‘they can do anything now without me.’ Makes me sad and proud at the same time.
“All I can do now is give myself a big pat on the back knowing I raised 8 awesome kids. The world deserve good people like them,” sabi pa ng aktres.
Kaarawan ni Nadia sa April 21 kaya siguro sentimental at emosyonal siya, feeling niya ay mag-isa na lang siya sa buhay. Sabi nga niya baka “birthday blues” lalo’t hindi na niya kasama ang ilang anak sa bahay nila kaya naisip niya kung paano na siya ngayon.
“At 52, soon 53, still learning, searching, dreaming and mega MENOPAUSING! Hahahaha (with matching birthday blues) literally am clueless now where my life is heading to. Now that they are building their dreams, I had to step back for a moment and ask myself “What about me? I forgot to dream na coz every dream included my children.
“Now in reality it takes a miracle to get all 8 together for one meal, hence having them all together for a week. But yes… I realized THAT IS MY DREAM! AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE!
“That is what I literally pray for everyday.. my kids safety, happiness, understanding and TIME!
“Hirap pala tumatanda. Tumatalino ka. Nagiging mas malalim lahat. Wala ng time for arguements, tampo, anger, misunderstanding, fault finding and toxicity! TIME IS GOLD. It truly is,” say pa ni Nadia.
May payo siya sa lahat ng magulang at mga anak base sa experiences niya, “To every parent, enjoy the time, journey and moment when YOU ARE STILL THEIR BESTFRIEND. Coz it’s true, when they grow up, out in the world they find new best friends along the way. That’s fine! That’s good! You will always be the first.
“If only I could turn back time, I would correct, re arrange, edit those times they needed me most. But life sometimes isn’t fair.
“Moving forward… contemplating on what tomorrow brings. I leave it in my Almighty God’s hands!…and to all kids out there, please always be grateful. Always choose the right path. Don’t make the same mistakes.
“Pray! Say thank you! Say sorry! Say I love you! Be the better person. Take the higher road. But never ever-ever take your parents for granted. You will never know what they have sacrificed for you.”
May bilin din siya para sa mga anak, “To my 8 source of life, love and happiness, thank you! I love you! God bless you!
