Darryl Yap nagpiyansa ng P20,000 para sa kasong cyberlibel
NAKALIGTAS sa pagkakakulong ang kontrobersyal na direktor ngayon na si Darryl Yap matapos nitong mag-piyansa ng P20,000 kaugnay ng two counts of cyberlibel na isinampa laban sa kanya.
Ang naturang kaso ay isinampa kaugnay sa kanyang inilabas na teaser para sa pelikulang “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma”.
Nitong Miyerkules, March 19, isang arrest warrant ang inilabas ng Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 203 Presiding Judge Myra Quiambao para kay Darry kaugnay sa kaso ng isinampa ng TV host-actor Vic Sotto, sa pamamagitan ng government prosecutors, para sa paglabag sa Articles 353 at 355 ng Revised Penal Code kaugnay sa Republic Act No. 10175, o mas kilala bilang Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Sa parehong araw, nag-file ng bond na nagkakahalagang P10,000 sa kada bilang ng cyberlibel complaint.

“After a careful evaluation of all the evidence presented during the preliminary investigation conducted in this case and herein Information for Libel under Arts. 353 and 355 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, in relation to violation of Section 4 (c) (4) of R.A. 10175, otherwise known as the ‘Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012’, filed by the Office of the City Prosecutor of Muntinlupa City against accused Darryl Ray Spyke Yap y Balingit, the Court finds that there exists probable cause for the issuance of warrant of arrest against said accused,” saad sa naturang order.
Dagdag pa nito, “Let therefore a warrant of arrest be issued for the immediate apprehension of accused Darryl Ray Spyke Yap y Balingit.”
Kasunod ng court order, nag-post ang kampo ng direktor ng cash bond na nagkakahalagang P10,000 sa pamamagitan ng official receipt No. 9801245 dated March 19, 2025, pra sa kanyang pansamantalang kalayaan.
“The herein accused Darryl Ray Spyke Yap y Balingit having voluntarily appeared before this Court and posted cash bond in the amount of Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00) under Official Receipt No. 9801245 dated March 19, 2025, for his provisional liberty and finding the same to be sufficient and in accordance with law, the same is hereby approved.
“Accused Darryl Ray Spyke Yap y Balingit is allowed provisional liberty under the said bond. The E-Warrant of Arrest issued against said accused on March 19, 2025, is hereby RECALLED and SET ASIDE,” ayon sa court order.
Isang arraignment at pre-trial conference para sa ongoing case ng direktor ang nakatakda sa March 26.
Nagsimula ang legal battle sa pagitan ni Darryl at Vic sa inilabas na “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma” teaser ng direktor kung saan nabanggit ang pangalan ng premyadong “Eat Bulaga” host.
Matatandaang nag-file ng 19 counts ng cyberlibel complaint si Bossing Vic laban kay Darryl sa Muntinlupa prosecutor’s office, at humihingi ng P35 million worth para sa damages na idinulot nito sa kanya.
