2 sugatan, mahigit 4,600 stranded sa mga pantalan dahil kay ‘Pepito’

DALAWA ang naiulat na sugatan dahil sa pananalasa ng Bagyong Pepito, ayon sa 8 a.m. data ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ngayong araw, November 17.
Mahigit 852,000 na indibidwal sa bansa ang apektado —75,581 ang nananatili sa evacuation centers.
Karamihan sa mga biktima ng bagyo ay mula sa Region 1 (Ilocos), Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 5 (Bicol) at Cordillera Administrative Region.

Samantala, aabot sa 4,642 na indibidwal ang stranded sa ilang pantalan dahil pa rin sa Super Typhoon Pepito.
“The PCG monitored 64 ports affected with 4,642 passengers, truck drivers and cargo helpers, 1,897 rolling cargoes, 31 vessels and 22 motorbancas were stranded, while 256 vessels and 208 motorbancas are taking shelter due to [Super] Typhoon Pepito,” ayon sa update ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
As of 2 a.m. ngayong araw, November 17, ang bagyong Pepito ay huling namataan sa karagatan ng Baler, Aurora.
Taglay nito ang lakas na hanging 185 kilometers per hour malapit sa gitna at bugsong 230 kilometers per hour.
Ang kilos nito ay nasa bilis na 20 kilometers per hour papunta sa kanluran.
