EJ Obiena emosyonal matapos mag-rank 4: I came short, Im sorry

“I came short. I’m sorry, I apologize for it,” saad ni EJ sabay tulo ng kanyang luha.

Pag-aalo naman sa kanya ng sports reporter, “There’s nothing to apologize, EJ. Thank you very much for taking time.”

“Your interview broke my heart brother. No need to apologize. Every single one of your Filipino countrymen is proud of you for all your achievements, and for marking the Filipino flag in a sport not many people think a Filipino could be good at. You have left your mark and we are so proud of you for bringing the entire country to the highest pedestal! Congratulations!” saad ng isang netizen.

Comment naman ng isa, “We’re still VERY PROUD OF YOU, EJ! You have repeatedly made the Filipino people proud!!!”

“Mataas expectation nga mga tao dito dahil kay caloy, baka na pressure sya nonetheless imagine 4th placer all over the world is a biggest achievement po! Congrats and we’re all proud of you! Mabuhay and come back stronger!” sey naman ng isa.

“No, don’t apologize. Your performance today is far way better than Tokyo 2020 where you landed at 11th place. You’re still the no. 1 pole vaulter in Asia, EJ! Come back stronger for the LA 2028 Olympics! You’re still the best for all of us!” hirit pa ng isa.
