Liza Marcos nag-explain sa pag-inom sa wine glass ni Sen. Chiz
NAGLABAS ng pahayag si First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos tungkol sa viral video niya ng pagkuha at pag-inom sa wine glass ni Senate President Chiz Escudero.
Kuha ang naturang video sa ginanap na Vin d’Honneur sa Malacañang bilang selebrasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan noong June 12.
Makikitang nakikipag-usap at nakikipaghalubilo si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa mga dumalong bisita kasama sina Sen. Chiz at House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Habang abala ang pangulo sa pakikipag-usap ay kinuha ng first lady ang baso mula sa senador at uminom rito at pagkatapos ay ibinalik ito kay Sen. Chiz na tumawa na lang matapos ang nangyari.

Ayon naman sa panayam ni FL Liza sa DZRH News nitong Biyernes, June 14, nangyari ang naturang video sa gitna ng biruan nila ng senador.
“If truth be told, here’s what happened. At 10AM yesterday, after greeting 82 ambassadors and other international organization representatives for over an hour, Bong and I entered the ceremonial hall.
“And we were ushered to where Chiz and Martin Romualdez were standing. When Chiz saw me, he said, ‘Wow bilib din ako sa’yo, may energy ka pa after standing and smiling for over an hour.’ Sabi niya, ‘I’m sure you could use a drink,'” pagbabahagi ni FL Liza.
“I laughed and said, ‘You bet.’ And so I mischievously got his glass of champagne, took a sip and told him, ‘Eww hindi naman malamig ang champagne (Your champagne is not cold).’ After that, I gave his champagne glass back to him and we both had a good laugh over that. I think the entire exchange took all of 10 seconds,” pagpapatuloy pa niya.
Samantala, naikuwento rin ni FL Liza na nakilala niya raw si Chiz noong nag-aaral siya sa abogsya at doon na sila nagsimulang maging friends.
“I’ve known Chiz since my law school days, he studied in UP and I went to Ateneo, we’ve been friends for like, forever,” lahad niya.
“So whether I made him a waiter and or, he responded ‘like a gentleman,’ is between us,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaang una nang nagbigay ng reaksyon si Sen. Chiz hinggil sa viral video nila ni FL Liza Marcos.
“I consider waiting on a lady (first or otherwise) to be gentlemanly. Maaaring sabihin ng iba na makaluma o parang ‘under’ pero para sa’kin, hindi kailanman magiging makaluma o ‘di uso, ano man ang itawag ng iba, ang pagiging maginoo at pakikipag-kapwa tao,” sabi ng senador.
