“The book began as my personal tribute to my Dad, but I am speaking not as a son (perhaps a repentant one who rue of lost opportunities for greater bonding with a parent) but as an artist and as an educator and originator,” sey niya sa isang Facebook post.

Kwento pa niya, “When we finally assembled his samples of work, they were jaw dropping! Matindi ang damuho! I co-wrote with Neal Cruz and published the book, with my brother Joel as main photographer and my daughter, Pika as book designer.”

Pag-alala ni Neal, “[Hugo] Yonzon, despite his enormous accomplishments, was so humble, he never approached us for press releases even if he had so many friends in the media.”
