Ben&Ben sa bagong hugot song na ‘COMETS’: 4 years in the making ‘to!

MAY ilalabas nang bagong hugot song ang OPM hitmaker na Ben&Ben!
Ito ang upcoming single nila na “COMETS” na mapapakinggan na sa Biyernes, May 10.
Ang kanta ay isinulat ng magkapatid na sina Paolo at Miguel Benjamin na tungkol sa pagmamahal na panandaliang nawala.
“Four years in the making ‘to, Liwanag. Ready na siya. SAVE THE DATE. 5.10.24,” saad sa caption ng teaser poster ng banda.

Ayon sa press release ng Sony Music Entertainment, ito rin ang first time ng Ben&Ben na may ginawang kanta kasama ang sikat na music producer na si Petra Sihombing.
Para sa mga hindi pa knows, si Petra ay isang Indonesian singer, songwriter at multi-instrumentalist na kilala sa pakikipag-collaborate sa ilang international musicians mula Japan, Singapore, Malaysia at Philippines.
“He flew in to help us bring the song to the next level, with his own additions in both the arrangement and post production of the track,” pagbabahagi ng nine-piece collective.
Ani pa nila, “The band probably had about 90% of the song down, but it was Petra’s very weighty 10% that really helped make the song what it is now.”
Kamakailan lang, kapansin-pansin ang mga nagkalat na digital billboards ng Ben&Ben sa ilang lugar sa Metro Manila upang i-promote ang upcoming song.

Pagbubunyag ng Ben&Ben, “COMETS is a song that we’ve had and performed a few times since 2021 but haven’t officially released yet, it’s been shrouded in quite a bit of mystery and intrigue.”
“The teasers are meant to slowly raise the curtains and give our keen listeners what they’ve been waiting for,” sambit pa.

Kung maaalala, ang huling single ng banda ay ang “Autumn” na ni-release noong November last year.
Ito ay tungkol naman sa nararamdamang kalungkutan matapos mawalay sa mahal sa buhay nang mahabang panahon.
Kwento ng nine-piece band, nabuo nila ang bagong single habang sila ay nasa Canada sa gitna ng kanilang North American tour noong 2022.
Ang pinaghuhugutan nito ay dahil sa lead vocalist at guitarist na si Paolo na talagang sinubok ang pagmamahalan nila ng misis na si Karelle Bulan nang maranasan ang long distance relationship (LDR).
