Mikee, Dodot solid ang relasyon: Kaya mahirap buwagin, mahirap singitan

HINDI uso ang selosan o insekyuran sa pagsasama ng mag-asawang Mikee Cojuangco at Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr..

“Beyond husband and wife” kung ilarawan ng celebrity couple ang kanilang pagsasama bilang mag-asawa makalipas ang mahigit dalawang dekada.

Sa guesting ng aktres at ng mister niyang professional basketball player sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” kahapon,  napag-usapan ang kanilang more than 20 years na married life.

Dito, natanong ni Tito Boy kung may pinagseselosan pa ba sina Mikee at Dodot sa isa’t isa.

“Kasi, Tito Boy, I think the partnership is so strong. And it goes beyond a husband and wife, like a romantic relationship. Ako feeling ko, in every aspect of our lives, we’re partners,” ang pahayag ni Mikee.

“Kaya mahirap buwagin, mahirap singitan. Siguro, magkakilala na rin kami in a very deep way talaga na we know expectations, we know the way each other thinks. We support each other,” dagdag pa ng hindi na gaanong aktibong aktres.

Pagpapatuloy ni Mikee, “Tapos kung saan ‘yung part mo na mas kailangan na nandu’n ka or ‘yung alam niya kung kailan na kailangan ko siya in different situations, how we can support each other, handle each other’s good and bad moments.”

Naniniwala naman si Dodot na walang “perfect match” sa isang relasyon kaya dapat pagsikapan ng mag-asawa ang pagiging solid ng kanilang pagsasama para tumagal ito nang tumagal.

Sabi ng dating PBA player at Vice Mayor ng Pasig City, “In every relationship, there’s no such thing as a perfect match. It’s always, you know, a matter of how much work you’re willing to put in, how much effort you’re willing to put in.

“Saka ‘yung pagmamahal, hindi basta-basta. It doesn’t just come naturally. You have to really invest in it,” sabi pa ni VM Dodot.

Sabi pa ng public servant, araw-araw niyang ipinararamdam at ipinamamalas sa mga anak na sina Robbie, Renzo, at Rafael kung gaano niya kamahal at kung paano niya respetuhin ang kanilang nanay.

“The highlight is the way they see me treat their mother. I think, it’s not just a point in the relationship or a previous point in your lives of what you’ve done, but it’s how you continuously treat your partner, your wife.

“How to keep showing her that you love her, how to assure her, make sure that she’s secure in the love that you show her. And that the family is the most important thing in your lives,” pagbabahagi pa ni Dodot.

Inalala rin ni Mikee ang binitiwan nilang pangako ni Dodot nang sila’y ikasal, “I remember our wedding vows. Malaking, parang very symbolic and important sa akin yung part na we’re holding hands.

“Parang we will always hold each other’s hands. So for me, it’s the support that I know, that I always have from him, and that I am always willing and happy to give,” pagbabalik-tanaw ni Mikee.

“She and the family will always be the most important thing in my life. Of course, second to God being the center of our lives,” pahayag naman ni Dodot.
