Michael, Carissa ng ‘Us The Duo’ hiwalay na: ‘We’re no longer married’

“THE two of us are no longer married.”
‘Yan ang kinumpirma nina Michael Alvarado at Filipino-American Carissa Alvarado, ang couple na bumubuo sa folk duo na “Us The Duo,” sa ibinandera nilang announcement sa Facebook page noong March 29.
“Us The Duo was created back in 2012 as a place for us to share our music with the world,” panimula ng dating mag-asawa sa post.
“We’re so happy to let you know that we have plenty of exciting things on the way for 2024,” sey pa ng dalawa kasabay ng ilang balita na maglalabas sila ng bagong singles, remixes at isang acoustic Christmas release ngayong taon.
At kasunod niyan, kinumpirma ng dalawa na divorced na sila, pero tiniyak na magiging maayos ang co-parenting nila sa kanilang anak na si Xyla.
“In the meantime, we did want to let you know a bit about our personal lives. The two of us are no longer married, but we still have so much love for each other, and most importantly, for our daughter Xyla,” ani niya.
Ibinunyag din ng dating couple na matagal-tagal na silang nagkanya-kanya ng buhay.
“…Although life looks a little bit different than before, we are both still creating and absolutely love being the best co-parents we can. Xyla has also transitioned wonderfully into this new normal and is still her happy and joyful self!” pagtitiyak nila sa fans.
Patuloy pa, “We know our music means so much to you all, as it does to us…. The message, the feelings and the love in our past music will always be our truth for that time in our lives and we hope you’ll continue to cherish the music and your memories attached to it for eternity.”
Ani pa nina Michael at Carissa, “Thank you for all your support over the past 12 years. We love you all so much.”
Taong 2012 nang ikinasal ang dalawa at nagkaroon ng anak noong 2018.
Noong 2013 naman nang sumikat sila matapos mag-viral ang ilang song covers nila sa dating video application na Vine.
