Ice Seguerra game na game sa pagiging drag queen: ‘May chance!’

MALALIM ang pinaghuhugutan ng celebrity couple na sina Ice Seguerra at Liza Diño sa pagsuporta nila sa mga Pinoy drag queens.
Maraming bonggang plano ang mag-asawa para sa mundo ng drag ngayong 2024, kabilang na riyan ang mabigyan ng mas maraming opportunities ang mga aspiring artists.
Masayang ibinahagi nina Ice at Liza ang pagiging co-owners ng pinakabagong drag club na Rampa sa Quezon City na nagkaroon ng soft opening last week.
Kasosyo nila rito si RS Francisco at ang drag queens na sina Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas Deluxe at Brigiding na mas kilala bilang Divine Divas.
“I’ve always loved the art of drag and sobrang happy ako because I met these queens and I got to experience the totality of everything kasi I see them rehearse and perform, I see them conceptualize their ideas and every time I see them do all these things, nakaka-frustrate.
“Because there are drag bars pero yung talagang masasabi mong maayos yung sound system, siyempre for someone like me na very ano pagdating sa ganyan, kasi ang galing na nu’ng talent, eh.
“Sana mas maiakyat pa natin yung standards in a sense na yung technicals din ma-match yung talent na meron sila.

“Because I think kapag nag-marry yung dalawa na yun, my gosh, explosive. So I think that’s what Rampa is going to bring to everyone. It’s not just the talent but basically everything else,” sey ni Ice.
Dagdag pa niya, “Lahat ng partners may kanya-kanyang ambag. It’s not just a business for us. Kaya we’re all excited to do this because, hindi man ako drag artist, but kami ni Liza we conceptualized their show, yung Divine Divas, the Ultimate Drag Experience.

“At the same time, we’re big fans of them. We have expertise in the different parts of drag. So of course, imadyinin n’yo yung puwedeng mangyari na magkakasama kami nila RS, and the Divine Divas,” sey pa ng OPM icon.
Excited na rin daw ang singer-songwriter na sumabak sa pagda-drag pagkatapos ng naging experience niya bilang direktor ng “Drag Race Philippines” noong 2022.
“There was a time when it was supposedly Lisa’s 40th birthday, yun yung theme namin. Kasi we were both fans of Drag Race. So we wanted to do a drag party. Kaso nag-pandemic so hindi natuloy. So maybe ito yun, may chance. Ha-hahaha!
“Sa Rampa mangyayari yun. I’m really excited because I get to play also. I support their ideas and make sure it is delivered in the best way possible for the audience also.
“Hindi lang yun, because I’m excited din because there are so many new drag artists here in the Philippines and nakaka-excite because nakikita mo silang umuusbong, gumagaling at parami ng parami. Rampa will be their home,” sey pa ni Ice.
