Martin Nievera first time hindi nakasipot sa birthday ng bunsong anak: ‘There are forces stronger than God kept me away!’

TILA masama ang loob ng tinaguriang Concert King na si Martin Nievera matapos siyang hindi nakasipot sa 17th birthday ng kanyang bunsong anak na si Santino.
Ayon kay Martin, ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na hindi niya napuntahan ang anak upang makita at mayakap sa araw mismo ng kaarawan nito.
Para sa mga hindi masyadong aware, si Santino ay na-diagnosed ng may autism.
“October 23, 2023 will go down in history in my life anyway as the very first time in all of Santino’s birthdays that I was not able to see him and hug him on the actual day of his birth,” saad ng batikang singer na ibinandera sa kanyang Instagram page.

Patuloy niya, “Oh, I was in town alright and no, I was not busy at all. I fix my whole life so that I would be here just as I do every year, but there are forces even stronger than God that kept me away!”
Hindi na idinetalye ng singer ang dahilan, pero nabanggit niya na tila nagkaroon ng isyu kaya mas minabuti niyang hindi nalang puntahan ang anak.
“Believe me it was not an easy decision but I hate confrontations and will always choose peace over war every time so I chose the high road, but the price I paid ruined my perfect ‘October 23hug record’,” saad niya sa post.
Ang hiling ng veteran singer, “I hope my son will forgive me.”
“My whole month of October ruined in a day [because] of pride and anger and pain,” sambit pa niya.
Sey rin niya, “Can’t get into much detail [because] I am not one to do my laundry here, but I just feel so guilty for missing this hug with my Santino and I figured venting here may help.”
“I missed so many birthday hugs with my other two sons as it is so I have been trying to be better at that with Santino, but oh well that’s all ruined now,” dagdag niya habang tinutukoy ang dalawa pa niyang anak na sina Robin at Ram.

Sa hiwalay na post ni Martin, makikitang nagkaroon sila ng pre-birthday celebration para kay Santino kung saan present sina Robin at Ram, pati na rin ang partner ni Martin na si Anj Del Rosario.

Si Santino ay anak ni Martin sa dating partner na si Katrina Ojeda, habang sina Robin at Ram ay anak naman niya sa dating misis na si Pops Fernandez.
Kung matatandaan noong 2022, inamin ni Martin ang tungkol sa kondisyon ng kanyang bunsong anak.
“I have a special child and I am so proud—so proud and so scared at the same time because I’m not going to be here forever,” sabi niya.
