Public schools, gov’t offices sa Metro Manila, Bulacan #WalangPasok sa Aug 25
WALANG pasok ang mga pampublikong paaralan at tanggapan ng gobyerno sa darating na August 25.
Mismong si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang nag-utos nito upang bigyang-daan ang pagsisimula ng FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
Ang opening rites ng nasabing event ay nakatakdang mangyari sa Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan.
Ayon sa Palasyo, ang suspension of classes and work ng pampublikong sektor ay opisyal na ipinagtibay sa pamamagitan ng Memorandum Circular No. 27 na pinirmahan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin noong August 15.
Nilinaw naman sa kautusan na ang mga ahensya ng gobyerno na may kaugnayan sa health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, at ilan pang mahalagang serbisyo ay magpapatuloy sa kanilang serbisyo at operasyon.

“In view of the commitment of the public sector towards wider involvement and participation in sports promotion and development, and in order to extend its full support and assistance to the Philippine Sports Commission in ensuring the safe, orderly, and successful conduct of the opening ceremonies of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, to be held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on 25 August 2023, work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in Metro Manila and the Province of Bulacan are hereby suspended on 25 August 2023,” saad sa inilabas na memo.
Nakalahad pa na ang “suspension of work for private companies and classes in private schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads.”
Ang Pilipinas ay co-host ng FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 kasama ang Japan at Indonesia.
Ilan pa sa mga lugar na pagdarausan ng FIBA games ay ang Araneta Coliseum sa Quezon City at Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City na magaganap sa August 25 hanggang 30.
Ang finals ng FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 ay gaganapin din dito sa ating bansa simula September 5 hanggang 10 sa Mall of Asia Arena.
