Nora Aunor binigyang pugay ni Bongbong Marcos: Her genius was a gift to the Filipino nation

NAKIKIDALAMHATI si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa pagpanaw ng national artist at tinaguriang Superstar na si Nora Aunor.

Sa pahayag na inilabas ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO), ipinapaabot ng pangulo ang kaniyang pakikiramay sa pamilyang naiwan ni Ate Guy.

“I join the nation in mourning the passing of our National Artist for Film, Nora Aunor. Throughout her splendid career that spanned more than 50 years, she was consummate actress, singer, and film producer,” saad ni Pangulong Marcos.

Aniya, ang mga pelikulang ginawa ni Ate Guy mula noong 23 years old pa lamang siya ay mananatiling parte ng national heritage.

Kinilala rin ni PBBM ang ilang mga pelikulang pinagbidahan ni Nora na humakot ng parangal.

“She has won national and international awards for her performances. Her golden voice was a balm for all. Her genius was a gift to the Filipino nation,” pagpapatuloy pa ng presidente.

Matatandaang marami ring mga pelikula ni Nora na kinilala noong termino ng kanyang amang si dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. gaya ng “Minsa’y May Isang gamu-gamo” (1976), “Atsay” (1978), “Annie Batumbakal” (1979), “Himala” (1982), at “Bulaklak sa City Jail” (1984).

Muli ay nakikiisa siya sa pagdadalamhati sa pagkawala ng isa sa mga alagad ng sining.

“I offer my heartfelt condolences to Nora Aunor’s family, friends, and the film industry itself. Let us pray together for the eternal repose of the soul of our beloved National Artist,” sabi pa ng pangulo.

Isang buwan bago ang ka yang 72nd birthday ay pumanaw ang National Artist habang sumasailalim sa isang medical procedure.
