PBBM, Liza Marcos dadalo sa libing ni Pope Francis, nagdeklara ng Nat’l Mourning

DAHIL sa pagkamatay ng head of the Catholic Church na si Pope Francis, idineklara sa Pilipinas ang national mourning.
Ayon sa Malacañang, ito ay effective immediately hanggang sa ihatid sa huling hantungan ang Santo Papa sa Sabado, April 26.
Ang kautusan na nakapaloob sa Proclamation No. 871 ay pinirmahan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin noong April 23 na may kalakip na pagpupugay: “The Argentine pontiff became a global symbol of humility, compassion, and peace, devoting his ministry to the care of the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable, and advocating tirelessly for social justice, equality, and interfaith dialogue.”
Sinabi rin ng presidential proclamation na ang pagpanaw ng Santo Papa, na kilala sa mga Pinoy bilang “Lolo Kiko” ay nagdulot ng matinding kalungkutan hindi lang sa Simbahang Katoliko, kundi sa ating bansa na kinikilala siyang global leader at walang sawang tagapagtaguyod para sa kapayapaan, katarungan, at dignidad ng tao.

“NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby declare a period of National Mourning effective immediately until the burial of Pope Francis,” saad sa pahayag.
Paliwanag pa, “During this period of mourning, the national flag shall be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset, on all government buildings and installations throughout the Philippines and abroad.”
Recently lamang, kinumpirma ni Palace Press Officer Claire Castro na ang pangulo at si First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos ay makikiramay sa libing ni Pope Francis sa Vatican.
Wala pang impormasyon as of now kung kailan tutungo sa nasabing bansa ang mag-asawa.
Ang nasabing libing ay gaganapin sa Sabado, April 26, 10 a.m. sa St. Peter’s Square, ang lugar na huling nakita ng publiko ang Santo Papa noong ipinagdiriwang ang Easter Sunday.
Pumanaw si Pope Francis noong April 21 sa edad 88 matapos atakihin ng stroke at cardiac arrest.
