John Lloyd ‘Best Actor’ sa 76th Locarno fest sa Switzerland, ikalawang Pinoy na nag-uwi ng award

MAY panibagong milestone ang award-winning actor na si John Lloyd Cruz na tiyak na ipagmamalaki ng ating bansa.
Naiuwi niya ang tinatawag na “Boccalino d’Oro prize” o Golden Jug Award dahil siya ang itinanghal na best actor sa 76th Locarno Film Festival (LFF) sa Switzerland.
Kinilala siya dahil sa kanyang pagganap sa Lav Diaz film na pinamagatang “Essential Truths of the Lake.”
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, si John Lloyd ang ikalawang Pinoy na nagwagi sa naturang film festival.
Ang nauna sa kanya ay si Hazel Orencio na nakuha ang “Best Actress” award noong 2014 at ‘yan ay dahil rin sa pelikula ni Direk Lav na may titulong “Mula sa Kung Ano ang Noon” (From What is Before).

Nakapanayam ng INQUIRER Entertainment si Direk Lav at inamin niya na hindi sila makapaniwala na makukuha ng aktor ang parangal.
“We were surprised with the news that he was given this particular award this year,” sey ng direktor via.
Dagdag pa niya, “This is special and is an extremely important award given by critics, scholars and experts in cinema here in Europe.”
“A salute to you, John Lloyd Cruz! We are dedicating this award to the country and to the Filipino audience,” proud na mensahe pa ng direktor sa award-winning actor.
At dahil nga nagbigay ng karangalan si John Lloyd sa ating bansa, super proud na ibinandera ito ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) sa kanilang social media.
Kalakip niyan ang “congratulatory” message ng chairman at CEO ng ahensya na si Tirso Cruz III.
Sey niya, “It is with great joy and pride that I congratulate one of the most talented artists of our country, Mr. John Lloyd Cruz, for having won the Boccalino d’Oro prize (Golden Jug Award) for Best Actor at the 76th Locarno Film Festival (LFF) in Switzerland.”
“This award is much deserved by an artist of his caliber. Lloydie, congratulations and thank you for bringing honor to our country,” aniya pa.
