Lea Salonga walang paki kung mabawasan man ang fans: ‘But I will protect my territory and my boundaries’
WAPAKELS ang Filipina international singer-actress na si Lea Salonga kung mawalan man siya ng mga fans dahil sa kanyang paninindigan.
May mga nagtanggol kay Lea matapos mag-viral ang video kung saan tumanggi siyang magpa-picture sa mga fans na sumugod sa dressing room matapos ang kanyang performance sa musicale na “Here Lies Love.”
Pero meron ding bumatikos sa OPM icon at nagsabing masyado naman daw siyang feeling superstar sa inasta niya sa harap ng mga fans na gusto lang naman magpa-picture sa kanya.
Sana raw ay pinagbigyan na lang daw niya ang mga ito dahil minsan lang naman daw mangyari ang ganu’ng mga pagkakataon sa mga Pinoy fans na matagal bang naninirahan sa ibang bansa.
Pero nanindigan si Lea sa kanyang paniniwala na mali ang ginawa ng mga naturang fans at sa kabila raw ng pangnenega at pang-ookray sa kanya sa social media patuloy niyang poprotektahan ang sinasabi niyang “boundaries.”
Sa kanyang Twitter account, ito ang ipinagdiinan ng singer, “The money you pay for a theater/concert ticket does not mean all-access. You pay for that performer’s art, and that’s where it stops.
“I’m not the type to cuss people out, but I will protect my territory and my boundaries. If I lose fans as a result, so be it,” ang matapang pa niyang pahayag.
Sa isa pa niyang post sa social media, ibinahagi rin niya ang naging usapan ng isa sa mga producers ng kanilang musical play.
“When one of our lead producers and our dance captain saw the video and learned about what happened, they said, ‘You were still very nice, if that were me I would’ve cussed at them and kicked them out.’
“I’m not the type to cuss people out, but I will protect my territory and my…” aniya pa.
Nauna nang ipinagtanggol ng singer-actress ang kanyang sarili matapos kumalat sa social media ang video na ipinost ni Cristopher Retokelly Carpila, isa sa mga fans na nagtangkang pumasok sa dressing room.
“Just a reminder… I have boundaries. Do not cross them. Thank you,” pahayag ni Lea Salonga.
