Tag-init na panahon nagsimula na, inaasahang tatagal hanggang May –PAGASA

SUMMER na! Opisyal nang idineklara ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration  (PAGASA) na simula na ng dry season.

Sa isang pahayag, ipinaliwanag ng weather bureau na wala nang epekto sa bansa ang Northeast Monsoon o Hanging Amihan na nagsilbing hudyat na nagsimula na ang panahon ng tag-init .

Ibig sabihin niyan ay asahan ang mas mainit na panahon sa mga darating na araw hanggang Mayo.

“These signify the end of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the beginning of the warm and dry season, which is expected to last until May,” saad ng PAGASA.

Bagamat nilinaw din ng ahensya na posible pa rin ang mga kaunting pag-ulan na dulot ng easterlies at localized thunderstorms.

“In the coming months, warmer temperatures are expected, and rainfall across the country will be influenced mostly by easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Pinaaalalahanan din ang publiko na umiwas sa heat stress at uminom ng sapat na tubig.

“The public is advised to take precautionary measures to minimize heat stress and optimize the daily use of water for personal and domestic consumption,” lahad ng weather bureau.
