Julia todo puri kay Diego bilang leading man sa bago niyang movie: 'He’s such a gentleman, he’s really kind'

Julia Barretto at Diego Loyzaga

ALL praises si Julia Barretto sa leading man niya sa kanyang latest movie na “Would You Be My Ex?”.

We’re referring to Diego Loyzaga na parang first time niyang makasama  sa isang movie ng Viva Films.

“He’s wonderful. He’s a great person to work with. He’s such a gentleman. He’s really kind so napadali ang trabaho ng lahat because everybody got along so well. We really had so much fun while we were shooting,” say ng dalaga during the opening of Limbaga 77 sa TriNoma recently.

Halos katatapos lang ipalabas ang last movie ni Julia na “Expensive Candy” at ngayon nga ay may kasunod na ito.

So, what’s the difference about her character sa “Expensive Candy” at dito sa “Would You Be My Ex?”

“I think this one is very much emotionally challenging. You know, I think there were a lot of  challenges that came out with the story  but because, again, everybody was so supportive of each other, parang ngging smooth talaga ang trabaho ko.

“It’s quite heavy and it’s emotionally challenging in that sense. I feel like, ‘yung journey ng character ko dito is on and off. She’s always like  push and pull. Na-miss ko ang challenge na ‘yon,” say niya.

When asked kung sino ang naging peg niya sa character niya sa latest movie niya, Julia said, “I am always grateful  na ‘yung back story ng characters na nabibigay sa akin are so clear and pure and deep.

“So, napagkukuhanan ‘yun ng inspiration, ‘yung character na mismo. Hindi naman kailangan na si Julia ‘yung pinagkukuhanan ng inspiration.

Baka Bet Mo: Kilalang aktres hindi pa rin maka-move on sa ex-dyowang aktor; palihim na natutulog sa dati nilang bahay

“I mean, the story itself is touching. I think marami sa ating lahat ang nakakuha ng inspiration from our characters. It doesn’t have to be real-life all the time,” dagdag pa niya.

Happy si Julia na tila bumabalik na sa normal ang lahat and this includes filming.

“I’m just so grateful na ‘Expensive Candy’ nagkaroon siya ng theatrical release. From what I know, ‘Would you Be My Ex’ will also have its own theatrical release.

“Whether that’s streaming platform or for theatrical release, I am just grateful na we’re all back to doing films like before and it’s normal way again. I am just glad na palaging may nao-offer every month, every week,” say niya.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, ang sweet ng message ni Gerald who said, “The rare people in your life that root for you to achieve your goals, are more valuable than the goals themselves. Happy Birthday I (heart emoji) U.”
