Liza Soberano aminadong ‘clout chaser’: That’s how it should be in the entertainment
DIRETSAHANG inamin ng aktres na si Liza Soberano na isang clout chaser tulad ng sinasabi ng mga netizens patungkol sa kanya.
Nag-guest kasi ang dalaga sa vlog ni Bea Alonzo para sumailalim sa lie detector test na isa sa mga segment ng YouTube channel ng Kapuso star nitong Linggo, March 5.
Dito nga ay napag-usapan nila ang buhay ni Liza sa showbiz mula noong nag-uumpisa pa ito hanggang sa kasalukuyang transition ng aktres bilang solo artist at malayo sa love team.
Matatandaang lately ay madalas magtrending ang aktres dahil sa kanyang mga larawan at videos na ibinabahagi online kung saan kasa-kasama niya ilang K-pop stars na agad nagba-viral.
Tanong ni Bea kay Liza, “Agree ka ba sa sinasabi ng ibang netizens na clout chaser ka lang?”

Ayon sa pop culture dictionary, ang salitang “clout chaser” ay isang critical term for a person who is thought to be intent on attaining fame, especially one who tries to do so in ways considered desperate, such as leveraging their proximity to famous people or doing things considered foolish, degrading, or dangerous.
Katwiran ni Liza, “There’s no harm in… like there’s no shame in clout chasing, that’s what the industry is. That’s what I don’t get actually about the Philippines, everybody is so afraid of social climbing or clout chasing but our industry is all about exposure and collaboration.”
Ito raw ang kanyang nagustuhan sa Amerika dahil hindi nila ito nakikita bilang “clout chasing” bagkus isang paraan para bilang tanda ng “hard work”.
“They don’t see it as clout chasing, they see it as you getting the bag. They see it as you working hard to achieve your goals… being proactive with your career,” dagdag pa ni Liza.
Aminado rin siya na talagang ginagawa niya ito para maka-gain ng mas marami pang fans at makipag-collaborate sa iba pang international artists.
Hirit pa ni Liza, “I’m doing that because I want to gain knowledge through them. I want to gain collaborations, [and] more fans hopefully if they like what I do, if they don’t like what I do, that’s okay too.
“Pero yes, I do use their clout to help myself and that’s how it should be in the entertainment [industry].”
Nilinaw naman ni Liza na hindi lang basta clout chasing ang kanyang pagpo-post at pakikipagkita sa BLACKPINK dahil talagang fan siya ng K-pop girl group.
“That was not just for clout. I really wanted to meet them. I’m so starstruck by them and everything that they have achieved. I’m just in awe and I’m genuinely a fan of their music,” sey ng aktres.
