Beteranang beauties sasabak sa unang Miss Rotary pageant
Ilan sa mga kandidata ng 2023 Miss Rotary Philippines pageant/ARMIN P. ADINA
SA MARSO pa ng susunod na taon itatanghal ang unang Miss Rotary Philippines pageant. Nunit ngayon pa lang ipinakilala na ng socio-civic organization ang ilan sa mga kandidata, kabilang ang mga pamilyar na mukha na rumampa na sa national competitions.
Isa nang national titleholder, kabilang ngayon si 2019 Miss Scuba Philippines Liz Mabao sa hanay ng mga beterana at baguhan sa patimpalak ng Rotary International District 3830 dito sa Pilipinas. Ipinakilala sila sa mga kawani ng midya sa Mindoro room ng Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila sa Pasay City noong Dis. 8.

Ilan pa sa mga pamilyar na mukhang makakasama ni Mabao sa patimpalak para sa 11 club ng distrito sina 2021 Miss World Philippines Second Princess Janelle Lewis, 2021 Miss Bikini Philippines First Runner-up Vienne Feucht, 2022 Miss Aura Philippines First Runner-up Vera Dickinson, at 2019 Face of Tourism Philippines alumna Joana Marie Rellosa.
“Hopefully I will be able to have a bigger practice, and more involvement with whatever the cause of Rotary is,” sinabi ni Mabao sa Inquirer.
Inilahad naman ni Lewis na naging bahagi ng Rotary ang ama niya. “So I’ve always known about the advocacies and what they stand for. So this time I am able to put forward my advocacy which is helping the youth and children with their education. Miss Rotary is more focused on inspiring and being able to help one another,” aniya.
Sinabi naman ni Dickinson, “what attracted me most is their advocacy, because they actually do charitable activities, and we are already included in those activities. So it’s really a privilege to be joining this pageant.”

Ayon kay Dr. Mildred Vitangcol, gobernadora ng District 3830, isang pagdiriwang ng “diversity, equity, and inclusivity” ang patimpalak, at dapat magtaglay ng “inner beauty” ang mga kandidata upang maging epektibong ambassador ng Rotary International sa Pilipinas, at makibahagi sa mga proyekto ng organisasyon na nagsusulong ng edukasyon para sa mahihirap, at women empowerment.
Sinabi ni Rotary Club of Taguig West President Jennifer Cauilan na, “for now,” P100,000 ang nakatakdang premyo ng unang Miss Rotary Philippines, at maaari pang lumaki ang premyo pagsapit ng final competition kung may mahahanap pang sponsors.
Itatanghal ang 2023 Miss Rotary Philippines pageant sa New Frontier Theater sa Araneta City sa Quezon City sa Marso 5.
