Chris Hemsworth tigil muna sa showbiz, natuklasang prone magka-Alzheimer’s disease

MAGPAPAHINGA na muna mula sa showbiz industry ang Hollywood actor na si Chris Hemsworth.
Kinumpirma niya ito mismo matapos matuklasan na siya ay may malaking tsansa na magkaroon ng Alzheimer’s disease, isang uri ng dementia na nagdudulot ng pagkawala ng memorya.
Sa isang exclusive interview ng American tabloid magazine na Vanity Fair noong November 18 ay ikinuwento ng Hollywood actor na nalaman niya ang tungkol sa kanyang kalusugan habang ginagawa ang docuseries na “Limitless.”
May nabanggit pa siya tungkol sa kamatayan na ayon sa kanya ay hindi napag-uusapan ng marami.
Sey ni Chris, “Most of us, we like to avoid speaking about death in the hope that we’ll somehow avoid it.
“We all have this belief that we’ll figure it out, then to all of a sudden be told some big indicators are actually pointing to this as the route which is going to happen, the reality of it sinks in. Your own mortality.”
Sinabi pa ng aktor na dahil sa na-diagnose sa kanya, napag-isipan niyang kailangan na niyang maglaan ng maraming oras para sa kanyang sarili at pamilya.
“It really triggered something in me to want to take some time off,” sabi niya sa interview.
Patuloy pa niya, “and since we finished the show, I’ve been completing the things I was already contracted to do.”
“Now when I finish this tour this week, I’m going home and I’m going to have a good chunk of time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife,” aniya.
Ilan sa mga recent projects na nakumpleto na ni Chris ay ang action thriller film na “Extraction 2” na ipapalabas sa susunod na taon at ang adventure film na “Furosia” na mapapanood naman sa taong 2024.
Inamin din ng Hollywood actor na muli siyang inalukan ng isa pang docuseries ng “Limitless” pero ito ay tinanggihan na niya para makapag pahinga na muna.
Pinayuhan din niya ang publiko na huwag kalimutang alagaan ang sarili at ang kalusugan.
Sey niya, “this is a motivator for people to take better care of themselves and also understand that there are steps you can take—then fantastic.
“My concern was I just didn’t want to manipulate it and over dramatize it, and make it into some sort of hokey grab at empathy, or whatever, for entertainment.”
Taong 2002 nang mag-umpisa sa acting career si Chris at ang una niyang pelikula ay ang science fiction blockbuster na “Star Trek.”
Noong 2011 naman niya nakuha ang role ng Marvel superhero bilang si Thor.
