Catriona pinagtripan ng netizens dahil sa pagkain ng ’empanada with ketchup’, naipasok pa ang pamatay na ‘silverlining’

VIRAL at super trending sa social media si 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray nang dahil lamang sa pagkain niya ng empanada.
Pinagtripan at pinagpiyestahan ng netizens ang mga litrato ng beauty queen at TV host habang lumalafang ng empanada na isa sa mga sikat na delicacy ng Ilocos Norte.
E, kasi nga mga ka-Marites, sa halip na suka, na karaniwang sawsawan ng naturang Ilocos delicacy, ay ketchup ang inilagay ni Catriona sa kinakaing empanada.
Naka-post ang mga litrato ng girlfriend ni Sam Milby sa VPI Travel Ilocos Facebook page kung saan makikita rin ang iba pang kaganapan sa dinaluhan niyang event sa Ilocos Norte.
Ang nakalagay sa caption ng nasabing FB post, “Welcome to City of Batac Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray.
“She visited Batac City and tried the famous Ilocos empanada.”
Mabilis namang kumalat ang “ketchup empanada” photo ni Catriona kaya naman kung anu-anong memes na ang naglabasan sa social media.
May nagsabing ita-try din daw nila ang ketchup sa bibilhin nilang empanada para malaman kung bakit sarap na sarap dito ang beauty queen. Baka raw mas masarap nga ang ketchup kesa sa suka.

Meron namang nag-post ng kanilang comments at nag-ala contestant sa Q&A segment ng beauty pageant.
Kinopya ng isang netizen ang winning answer ni Catriona nang lumaban ito sa Miss Universe 2018 na ginanap sa Thailand, “I ate at a school in Tondo, Manila, and their Empanada there is… it’s poor and it is sad. But I always taught myself to put a sauce on it.
“To look for vinegar or ketchup amongst the faces of the children and I would bring this aspect when I eat empanada and see situations with a silver lining.
“And if I could also teach people to be grateful, we will eat have a world where delicious empanada would grow and foster and diners would have a smile on their faces. Thank you.”

Nang malaman ni Catriona na viral na ang paglafang niya ng ketchup empanada ay nagkomento agad siya rito, “This comment section has me (skull, laughing in tears emojis).”
Karaniwang ginagamit ang “skull” emoji kapag halos mamatay-matay at maiyak na sa kakatawa.
