Sekyu na nasawi sa Ateneo campus shooting tunay na bayani: ‘He deserves to be named and recognized’

Jeneven Bandiala

He deserves to be named and recognized.

“He did beyond what he was supposed to do and I will not settle for him to be simply named as a ‘security guard’ in Ateneo,” ang nakasaad sa FB status ni Jhei Shiee.

The entire Ateneo de Manila community extends its sincerest condolences to Jeneven’s family and friends.”

Gumawa rin ng QR code ang unibersidad para sa lahat ng nais mag-abot ng tulong sa naulilang pamilya ng security guard, “All donations will be given to Jeneven’s family. We thank you in advance for your help.

“Once again, we condemn this act of violence, and we hope justice is served. Let us keep Jeneven, as well as Rose Furigay and Victor Capistrano, in our prayers,” sabi pa ng ADMU.

“Ateneo de Manila University strongly condemns the shooting incident at Areté, Loyola Heights campus on Sunday afternoon, 24 July 2022.

“Three people were killed, while two others have been injured, including the suspect. Thankfully, the suspect was apprehended by the police shortly after, and is now in the custody of the Quezon City Police District.

“Ateneo de Manila University extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. There is no acceptable reason for violence. We hope and pray that justice will be swiftly served.

“The incident occurred around an hour before the start of the 2022 commencement exercises of the Ateneo de Manila School of Law at Areté, which was subsequently canceled. It has robbed the members of the Law School class of 2022 of what was supposed to be a joyous celebration.

“The University and the Law School administration are assisting students, staff, and guests who are dealing with trauma from the incident.

“Finally, let us all offer our prayers, especially for the victims and their families. May God bless us all.”
