PINUSUAN ng mga netizens at umani ng sandamakmak na likes at comments ang latest posts ni Karen Davila sa Instagram na kuha mula sa kanilang Artic expedition.
In fairness, sa nakita naming mga litrato ni Karen sa pagbisita nila sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Norway at sa mga naging activities nila sa cruise ship ay parang nailibot na rin niya tayo roon.
Sa unang IG post ng Kapamilya broadcaster, binigyan muna niya ng pa-tribute ang mga Filipino crew na nagtatrabaho sa sinakyan nilang cruise ship.
Kalakip ang kanilang mga litrato, narito ang caption na inilagay ni Karen sa kanyang post, “THE ARCTIC… FILIPINO CREW What an honor to do a meet & greet with our Pinoy crew aboard the Silversea Cloud Expedition!”
Aniya pa, “Of 219 crewmembers, 106 are Pinoys assigned in different areas from technical, engineering, F&B, entertainment, housekeeping & expedition team!
“The highest being the First Officer & Restaurant Manager!! Ang gagaling ninyo! I felt so proud being with you guys,” dugtong pa niya.
“Salamat at hanggang dulo ng mundo, laman pa rin ng puso ninyo ang ABSCBN, mga kapamilya Thank you @silverseacruises for appreciating Filipino talent,” sabi pa ng news anchor.

Nagpasalamat naman ang ilang netizens nang makita nila ang IG post ni Karen. Napakalaking bagay daw nito para sa mga kababayan nating nagtatrabaho nang marangal na malayo sa kanilang mga pamilya.

Samantala, sa isa pa niyang post, sinabi ni Karen na ito ang unang pagkakataon na nag-try siyang sumakay sa cruise ship.
“THE ARCTIC made even more special with our @silverseacruises experience. My first cruise ever, I wanted to try something different for my family’s first trip 2 years after the pandemic. We chose an expedition for the adventure & because it would be on a much smaller ship.
“I absolutely loved the intimate feel on board – the hot chocolate every morning, the veranda in the rooms, the library, gym & even the salon! The restaurants were absolutely stellar ️ It was a mix of adventure everyday and rest on board!” chika pa ng brodcast journalist.
Ibinahagi rin niya ang ilang snapshots habag nagha-hiking sila sa Svalbard, “THE ARCTIC. Hiking in Spitsbergen, Svalbard. Mirror like pools of water below ice capped mountains. Such a purity to nature’s unspoiled canvass. Truly, to walk in nature is to witness God’s thousand miracles.
“What an AMAZING moment! The POLAR BEAR, The King Of The Arctic. The polar bear is elusive and some expeditions aren’t fortunate enough to see one!
“We were all on our zodiacs coming from our last glacier expedition when the bear monitors caught this lone ranger!! We actually saw 2 polar bears but this one was right within eye sight- no long lens needed!” ang tuwang-tuwang mensahe pa ni Karen.
Nakakita rin sila ng walruses roon, “The Svalbard walrus population is estimated at only 2,000 animals. Most of the adult walruses here are males.
“They have spotted more females in recent years, but there is sexual segregation outside the breeding season. They’re also not the preferred meal for the Arctic Polar bear nor whales – always in search of calves.
“Such a privilege to be around these animals up close. A poignant reminder that we humans share the planet with God’s creatures,” kuwento pa ni Karen.
