Kampo ni Enchong Dee umalma sa balitang ‘nagtatago’ ang aktor para makaiwas sa warrant of arrest
PINABULAANAN ng kampo ng TV host-actor na si Enchong Dee ang mga naunang balita na nagtatago siya sa mga otoridad upang maiwasan ang arrest warrant na in-issue sa kanya noong January 25, 2022 dahil sa kasong P1 billion cyberlibel case na isinampa sa kanya ni Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) Party-list Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim.
“Contrary to certain media reports, Enchong Dee has been attending to his professional and personal commitments in the past couple of days and has not made any attempt to evade arrest,” saad ng mga abogado ng aktor base sa official statement na inilabas nito ngayong Martes, February 1.
Kinumpirma rin nila ang pagpo-post ng P48,000 bail ni Enchong matapos itong i-surrender ang sarili sa tanggapan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Quezon City noong Lunes, January 31.
“More importantly as a show of respect for the rule of law, he voluntarily submitted himself to the authorities and posted bail.
“Moving forward, Enchong will take all the appropriate and necessary legal steps to defend himself against the impending lawsuit,” dagdag pa nila.

Unang kumalat ang balita ng diumano’y “pagtatago” ng aktor matapos itong mapag-usapan noong January 28 nina Cristy Fermin at Romel Chika sa kanilang digital show na “Cristy Ferminute” dahil hindi raw ito natagpuan ng NBI nang puntahan ito sa address na ibinigay niya sa Cubao, Quezon City kaya hindi ito naisyuhan ng warrant of arrest.
Matatandaang noong August 2021 ay nag-tweet si Enchong patungkol sa tila engrandeng kasal nina Rep. Claudine na ginanap sa isang pribadong resort noong July na agad niya ring binura tatlong araw kasabay ng kanyang paglalabas ng public apology.
Bukod kay Enchong ay mag-react rin sina Agot Isidro, Polwang, at Ogie Diaz sa diumano’y magarbong kasala ng party-list representative ngunit tanging ang aktor lang ang kinasuhan nito.
