Bagamat isa itong masayang balita, hindi naman kaila sa madlang pipol ang pinagdaanang panghuhusga ni Bea bago makamit ang korona.

Nag-viral rin ang mga litrato ni Bea kasama ang kaniyang girlfriend na si Kate Jagdon.
Mula pa man noon ay bukas na si Bea sa kaniyang relasyon for almost 7 years.
Sa kaniyang istorya mula sa Cebu Daily News, naikuwento niya na habang lumalaki siya ag narerealize niya na attracted siya on both sexes.
