Sa bagong COVID-19 Alert Level System, 97 lugar sa bansa ang nasa Alert Level 4, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH).
Paliwanag ni DOH spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire, nangangahulugang ang hospital utilization rate sa mga naturang lugar ay higit 70 porsiyento.
Kaya’t aniya binabantayan ito nang husto para agad matugunan ang pangangailangan sa lugar.
Umaasa naman si Vergeire na sa pagpapaigting ng vaccination rollout ay bababa na ang bilang ng mga nangangailangan na maospital.
“With the increasing number of cases, our hope would be — that because vaccinations are being ramped up — that the severe and the critical would be less. So that there would be lesser people going to the hospital for admissions,” sabi nito sa isang panayam sa telebisyon.
Kahapon, umabot na sa 2,366,749 ang naitalang COVID 19 cases sa bansa at 178,196 ang aktibong kaso.
