Paco nagluluksa rin sa pagpanaw ng nanay ni Geneva: Goodbye Mama…

KAHIT 20 years nang napawalang-bisa ang kasal nina Paco Arespacochaga at Geneva Cruz (1995-2001) ay nanatili pa rin silang malapit sa isa’t isa pati na ang kanilang respective families.

Sabi nga ni Paco sa panayam niya noon, “To set the record straight, Gen was a good wife! She will always be family to me. She is the mother of my son, Heaven, and the godmother of my second son, Caelen. So wala siyang kawala sa buhay ko.”

At kahit na nakadawalang asawa na si Paco pagkatapos ni Geneva (Tiny at Jaja) ay close pa rin ang mga magulang ni Heaven na 24 anyos na ngayon.

Gayun din si Geneva na kahit nagkaroon na ng ibang karelasyon —  sina KC Montero (annulled 2004-2010), at ama ng anak niyang si London na si Lee Paulsen — ay bukas pa rin ang komunikasyon nilang dalawa ni Paco.

Sa pagkawala ng pinakamamahal na ina ni Geneva na si Gng. Marilyn Cruz dahil sa COVID-19 nitong Lunes, Abril 19 ay nagdadalamhati rin si Paco dahil itinuring na nitong tunay na ina ang kanyang dating mother-in-law.

Ipinost ni Paco sa kanyang Facebook page ang larawan ng mama ni Gen at binalikan ang mga alaalang hindi pa siya gusto noon para mapangasawa ng singer-actress.

“Goodbye Mama.

“I always called her Mama. She hated it at first because she dreaded the thought of having me as her future son-in-law.

“Eventually, she accepted me with open arms, her ‘first son.’ She was ‘mom’ to me and to all of my siblings. She was very caring and loving and full of life. She adopted me, my siblings, my friends and ALL OF MY KIDS!

“She was a very generous and loving mother to her children – always there at their beck and call. She worked till the wee hours of the night just to make sure all of her children and grandchildren were comfortable.

“She has endured so many heartaches in her lifetime, would cry a little and simply brush it off because a lot of people depended on her.

“Mama was a breath of fresh air. The room brightened up when she entered. The kitchen came alive when she started cooking. She even made Puchero for me, Jaja and the whole family when she and Geneva celebrated their ‘despidida’ at our place.

“She motivated me to learn how to change a flat tire. She was good at it!

“In the absence of my biological mother, she became mine.

“Even after my marriage to Geneva ended, mama was always my mom. She was Jaja’s mother-in-law. All of my children know her as mama,” ang mahabang pahayag ng dating miyembro ng bandang Introvoys.

Dagdag pa niyang mensahe sa nanay ni Geneva, “You will always be in my heart and in the hearts of many. Your laughter will always be in my heart. I love you Mama! Thank you for loving everyone in your life… ESPECIALLY ME!”
