Aniya sa caption, “‘Go girl, keep on shining! Go girl, keep on shining! You gotta trust yourself. You know you can do it, yeah that’s all it takes! Set your spirit free!’
“These were the lyrics of the song from one of the first TV commercials that I did back when I was 15 years old. Little did I know that ‘setting my spirit free’ would actually be one of the best things that I could’ve ever done for myself this year,” simulang pahayag ng aktres.
Aniya pa, “For many of us, this pandemic has definitely brought so much fear, anxiety and more trauma. I remember being in a very negative state when we first got stranded here.
“My default reaction to stress was to panic, pinpoint problems, find fault in every situation and just dwell on negativity. I would focus on my problems so much that most of my time was spent either getting irritated or complaining.”
Sey pa ni Maxene, isa sa mga naging panlaban niya kontra anxiety at depression ay ang yoga, “Thanks to my practice, I was able to overcome negativity because my main intention for coming to Bali in the first place was to focus on my healing.
“I promised myself that I would no longer give in to fear, anxiety or any of the other symptoms brought about by my mental health condition because I knew that these were all holding me back from reaching my full potential,” lahad pa niya.
Marami rin daw siyang napatunayan sa kanyang sarili nitong nagdaang taon, “It made me realize that I’ve been a prisoner of my own fears and traumas that I haven’t given myself permission to just be.
“I’ve been wearing a mask and putting on a front just so that I could gain other people’s approval. I’ve been disrespecting and dishonoring my own soul just to be accepted by society.
“2020 truly is the year of clear vision and I’m so glad that I’m finally able to see through all of my shadows with a fresh and honest perspective.
I see myself, I see my soul and I see my light. Now, I can finally breathe and set my spirit free,” pagtatapos ng mensahe ni Maxene Magalona.
