Phase 3 ng multi-year Sultan Kudarat road project, malapit nang matapos

Inaasahang makukumpleto ang Phase 3 ng P700-million multi-year road concreting project sa Lebak, Sultan Kudarat bago matapos ang taong 2020.

Ito ang inanunsiyo ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar ukol sa nagpapatuloy na konstruksyon sa ilalim ng Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade (ROLL-IT) Program na pinondohan ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Base sa ulat mula kay DPWH Region 12 Director Basir Ibrahim, sinabi ng kalihim na kabilang sa nakaprogramang civil works sa taong 2020 sa proyekto ang dalawang kilometrong kalsada na nagkakahalaga ng P28.7 milyon.

Tapos na aniya ang pitong kilometrong kalsada sa ilalim ng P90-million Phase 1 noong 2018 at ang P39.93-million Phase 2 noong 2019.

Sakop ng multi-year concreting project ang pagpapabuti ng 24.53 kilometers road section ng proposed 71-kilometer Esperanza-Lebak Bypass Road, na nagsisimula sa Awang-Upi-Lebak-Kalamansig-Palimbang-Sarangani Road; at maging ang konstruksyon ng dalawang tulay kung saan isa na ang nakumpleto sa first phase.

Maliban dito, makatutulong din ang proyekto para sa mas ligtas na kalsada.

Mula sa apat na oras na travel time, magiging dalawang oras na lamang ang biyahe mula Lebak hanggang Isulan.

Sa pamamagitan din nito, inaasahang mababawasan ang agricultural production cost at tataas naman ang productivity sa lugar.

“Farmers and growers of bamboo and coffee plantations in the upland barangays of Basak, Villamonte, Capilan, and New Calinog will greatly benefit from better accessibility to market towns and distribution centers, which the project aims to achieve,” pahayag ni Villar.

Samantala, nakatakdang simulan ang pagsasagawa ng karagdagang pitong kilometrong kalsada bilang Phase 4 ng proyekto sa taong 2021.
