Dingdong wagi ng Asian Star Prize sa 15th Seoul Int’l Drama Awards
WINNER ang Kapuso Primetime King na si Dingdong Dantes sa katatapos lang na 15th Seoul International Drama Awards.
Si Dingdong ang tumanggap ng Asian Star Prize para sa kanyang natatanging pagganap bilang si Captain Lucas Manalo a.k.a. Big Boss sa Pinoy adaptation ng Korean hit drama series na “Descendants of the Sun.”
Ang nasabing award ay isa sa mga non-competition category sa taunang Seoul International Drama Awards na kumikilala sa lahat ng magagaling na personalidad sa television drama productions sa buong Asia.
“This award is also a tribute to all frontliners of the world–soldiers, healthcare workers, and volunteers. This award is also for my loved ones and the Filipino people.
“May we find consolation knowing that our stories are being appreciated, especially during these trying times,” bahagi ng acceptance speech ni Dingdong.
Ang Kapuso award-winning actor ang ikaapat na Filipino na nabigyan ng Asian Star Prize. Nauna nang pinarangalan ang kapwa niya Kapuso stars na sina Gabby Concepcion, Dennis Trillo at Alden Richards.
Samantala, wagi rin ang “Descendants of the Sun PH” bilang Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year, kasama ang “Snowpiercer” ng US at ang “The New Pope” ng Italy.
Ang 15th Seoul International Drama Awards ay ginanap noong Sept. 10 sa MBC Media Center Public Hall na walang audience dahil pa rin sa ipinatutupad na safety protocols dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Ang awards ceremony ay ipinalabas sa YouTube channel ng MBC Drama ngayong araw.
