Pagtataas sa minimun wage ng mga nurse sa pribadong sektor, isinusulong

Isinusulong ni House Deputy Speaker at Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte na itaas ang sahod ng private nurses.

Sa House Bill No. 7569 o “Minimum Wage for Nurses in the Private Sector Act of 2020” ni Duterte, nais nito na isaayos ang kalagayan ng mga nurse na nasa pribadong sektor.

Sa ilalim ng panukala ay inaatasan ang National Wages Productivity Commission (NWPC) ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Nursing Association at Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines para sa itatakdang angkop na wage increase depende sa lugar at kakayanan ng ospital.

Layunin ng panukala na maprotektahan ang nurses sa pribadong health care facilities sa pamamagitan ng pagtataas sa kanilang sahod at pagbibigay ng mas magandang benepisyo.

Giit pa ni Duterte, napakalaki ng kontribusyon ng nurses sa mga pribadong ospital sa gitna ng pandemya kaya nararapat lamang na maitaas ang kanilang sahod at benepisyo.

Kamakailan lamang ay itinaas ng pamahalaan ang sahod naman ng nurses sa pampublikong sektor ng P19,845 hanggang P30,531 kada buwan.
