Ayon sa pinuno ng MTRCB na si Ms. Rachel Arenas sa panayam ng Teleradyo, “It’s not to curtail their freedom, it’s actually to empower our viewers especially now ‘yung mga tao karamihan (majority) are working from home.

“In fairness with them, they’re willing to collaborate and cooperate with us. They agreed naman that they’re going to look at our guidelines and I assured them that we’re not going to give you a hard time.”

Sabi pa ni Ms. Arenas, “Iba-iba ang kultura ng bawat bansa (culture is different in every country), [in South Korea] they review every material that comes out in Netflix that’s why delayed sila ng 6 months or even a year.

Parang galit sila agad. Iba naman ang MTRCB ngayon, the times have changed.”

Umalma ang ilang kilalang filmmakers at producers tungkol dito.

Ang paliwanag ng producer at director na si Yam Laranas, “They have no right and it is not under their mandate. All these streaming platforms have their own stamp of ratings for specific audiences’ age group.

“These are international streaming platforms/companies that will not adhere to any local ratings or censorships. The MTRCB is just finding new ways to make a living since ABS and the movie houses are closed. This is a futile and desperate move.”

Business and livelihood lost.’”

Kasi, these streamers, may sariling code of conducts or quality control. Meron na silang sariling recommended ratings for every show,” pahayag pa ni direk Yam.

US), “The Road” (iFlix), at “The Echo” (Shudder US).

“Res ipsa loquitor. The law is very clear. Until and unless the same is amended by a new law, the jurisdiction of the MTRCB does not include online streaming,” diretso nitong sabi.

All I know is I am for the censorship of the porn sites na easy access sa minors.

A Wedding”, “A Second Chance,” “It Takes A Man and A Woman”, “Seven Sundays”, “She’s Dating A Gangster”, “My Ex & Whys.”
