John Regala gusto nang lumabas sa ospital; hindi raw ‘cooperative patient’
HINDI naging “cooperative patient” ang veteran actor na si John Regala habang naka-confine sa ospital.
Ngayong araw nakatakdang lumabas sa National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) si John makalipas ang ilang araw na gamutan.
Sa NKTI dinala ang aktor para gamutin ang kanyang liver cirrhosis at severe gout. Ilan sa mga tumutulong sa kanya ay sina Nadia Montenegro, Chuckie Dreyfus at ang talent manager-columnist na si Tita Aster Amoyo.
Nabatid na si John daw mismo ang may gustong lumabas na ng ospital ngayong araw pero ayon kay Tita Aster, kung sila ang tatanungin mas gusto nilang mag-stay pa ang aktor sa NKT.
“If we are to be followed, we wanted actor John Regala to stay in the hospital for a few more days but he insisted in checking out tomorrow (August 12) and we have no choice but to give in to his request to go home.
“We have to admit that John is not a cooperative patient and we can only do so much. Praying that we are still able to continue helping him but we also have our own limitations,” ang pahayag ni Tita Aster sa kanyang Facebook page.
Bago ito, nag-share pa ang talent manager ng picture ni John na nakaupo sa hospital bed habang may hawak na cellphone.
“We’re so happy sa malaking improvement ng actor na si John Regala since he was rushed to the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) late Tuesday afternoon,” post niya sa Facebook.
“Although he can’t stand and walk by himself yet, nakakaupo na siya at nakakain kahit pakonti-konti ng solid food. In a couple of days ay inaasahan na namin siyang up and about at puwede nang umuwi,” aniya pa.
Dagdag pa niya, “In this picture taken a few minutes ago, he is happy talking with his biological son in the US, John Paul Kieffer from his ex-wife Au Alvarez Manansala/Hunt, now married to an American guy Stephen Hunt.”
“Au has been helpful to John when she learned of her ex-husband’s health condition. She is also in touch with her ex-husband regularly,” lahad pa niya.
