Basketball, football teams balik-training na

MALAPIT na ang pagbabalik-aksyon sa basketball at football. 

Ito ay matapos na payagan ng pamahalaan ang pagsasagawa ng mga training sessions ng mga basketball at football teams.

Sa isang televised press briefing ngayong Biyernes, sinabi ni presidential spokesperson Harry Roque na inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) ang rekomendasyon ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Games and Amusements Board (GAB) na payagan na ang mga teams na ipagpatuloy ang kanilang mga practice at conditioning sessions kahit nananatili ang coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Pinayagan po ‘yung practice and conditioning ng basketball at saka ng football sang-ayon po sa request ng PBA at ng ibang mga football associations,” sabi ni Roque.

Sa panukala ng GAB, ang mga practices ay lilimitahan sa limang katao lamang sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) tulad ng Metro Manila habang hanggang 10 ang papayagan sa mga lugar na nasa modified GCQ.

Ang Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), ang pinakasikat na sports entertainment sa bansa, ay natigil ang season noong Marso 11, tatlong araw matapos buksan ang kanilang ika-45 season, bunga ng COVID-19 pandemic.
