Guidelines para sa tradisyunal na jeepney inilabas ng LTFRB

INILABAS na ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang guidelines para sa muling pagbiyahe ng tradisyonal na jeepney sa Metro Manila simula sa Hulyo 3.

Pinili ng LTFRB ang mga ruta na bubuksan para sa mga public utility jeepney.

“Considering that PUJs will be plying their existing routes… no special permit is necessary prior to their operations,” saad ng Memorandum Circular 2020-26.

Iginiit naman ng LTFRB na ang maaari lang bumiyahe ay ang mga nakarehistrong roadworthy sa Land Transportation Office (LTO) at mayroong valid Personal Passenger Insurance Policy.

“Those PUJs found to operate in routes not included in Annex A will be apprehended accordingly.”

Kahit na hindi maaaring punuin ang jeepney, hindi maaaring magtaas ng pasahe. Mananatili ito sa P9 para sa unang apat na kilometro at P1.50 dagdag para sa mga susunod na kilometro.

“Operators and drivers are likewise required to comply with a series of safety measures prior to dispatch and during operations, such as checking of body temperature, wearing masks and gloves at all times, and operating at a maximum of 50% capacity, and distributing Passenger Contact Forms.”

Ang hindi pagsunod ay maaaring magresulta sa multa, suspensyon o kanselasyon ng Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) o Provisional Authority (PA).
