Pagkuha ng PNP travel pass hindi na kailangan

HINILING ni Quezon City Rep. Precious Hipolito-Castelo sa Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases na alisin na ang travel pass na kailangang kunin sa Philippine National Police.

Para kay Castelo sapat na ang health clearance na ibinibigay ng Department of Health sa mga tao na pupunta sa ibang lugar para sila ay payagang makapasok.

Ayon sa lady solon walang “probative value” ang PNP travel pass at dagdag na pahirap lamang sa mga tao lalo na sa mga overseas Filipino workers at locally stranded individuals.

“By not requiring the OFWs and LSIs to secure police travel pass, we lighten the burden they carry during the crisis brought by the pandemic,” ani Castelo.

“Many of our people are complaining about having a hard time or not being able to move from one place to another even if they have valid reasons to do so because of the many safety protocols imposed by the government. Removing an unnecessary one from the long list of protocols can be very helpful for travelers especially the most hard-hit by the outbreak.”

Mayroon din umano siyang natatanggap na ulat kaugnay pang-aabuso ng mga “very enterprising” sa mga kumukuha ng travel permit.

“We can lessen corruption and improve public service if non-essential requirements are eliminated in the government’s Covid-19 response system,” dagdag pa ni Castelo.

Inulit din nito ang palaging sinasabi ni Pangulong Duterte na pabilisin ang serbisyo sa tao.
