SUMADSAD ang isang dredger sa Brgy. Bangan, Botolan, Zambales.
Isang response team ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang ipinadala upang tignan ang kalagayan ng MV Zhong Hai 69 Alfa, isang Chinese-registered dredger noong Linggo.
Batay sa isinagawang pagsusuri, pinasok ng tubig ang engine room at mga compartment nito.
Nagsasagawa na ng salvaging operation ang mga tauhan ng PCG sa lugar.
Gumagawa na umano ng paraan ang PCG upang matiyak na hindi magkakaroon ng oil leak sa lugar.
“We do not want to add another burden to the current crisis we are facing. Most of all, we do not want the local residents in the area to bear the negative consequences of this situation, especially with the possible harm it can cause to local marine environment,” ani PCG Commandant George Ursabia.
Ayon sa PCG-Zambales nangako ang operator ng barko– Z2K Resources Inc., na bibili ng dagdag na bilge pumps upang mabomba palabas ang tubig sa loob ng barko.
