Kaso vs pulis na lalabag sa social media protocol

SASAMPAHAN ng kasong kriminal at administratibo ang mga pulis na lalabag sa social media protocols ng Philippine National Police.

Ito ang inanunsyo ni PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa ngayong araw makaraang ireklamo ng Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) ang mga alagad ng Caraga Police Regional Office (PRO 13).

“There is an enhanced protocol on social media which should be observed by the members of PNP. They can be charged administratively and if the evidence would warrant, even criminal cases,” ani Gamboa sa press briefing kaninang umaga.

Bago ito, sinabi ng Bayan na aasuntuhin nito ang regional police dahil sa mga post nito na “crass and totally unprofessional” at “obviously black propaganda.”

Noong Abril 13, nag-post ang PRO 13 ng edited photo ni Reyes na may sungay at may mensahe na: “The police and military actions in the fight against COVID-19 is to serve and help save the nation! Mr. Retonto Reyes, apart from nagging and demolitions, propose a solution rather than creating more confusion!”

Noong Mayo 11, ipinost naman ng regional office ang mga larawan nina Reyes, Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Zarate, Bayan Muna chairman Neri Colmenares at Kabataan party-list Rep. Sarah Elago na may titulo na “Tunog Legal, motibong illegal.”

Ani Gamboa, hindi dapat nagpo-post ng ganito ang mga pulis dahil sila ay mga taong-gobyerno. –Inquirer
