Presyo ng bisikleta, motorsiklo dapat iregulate
HINILING ni Quezon City Rep. Precious Castelo sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na i-regulate ang presyo ng bisikleta at mga maliliit na motorsiklo na siyang pangunahing ginagamit ngayon ng mga pumapasok sa trabaho.
Ayon kay Castelo marami ang gumagamit ngayon ng bisikleta at motorsiklo dahil limitado ang biyahe ng mga pampublikong sasakyan.
Dahil sa dami ng bumibili at interesadong bumili ay maaari umanong tumaas ang presyo nito.
“Thus, the government, through the DTI, should intervene to protect the public. The DTI should regulate prices of bicycles and small motorbikes and their parts. The executive branch has such power under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Law,” ani Castelo.
Dapat din umanong bantayan ang mga senyales ng hoarding at price manipulation.
“Biking to the office or the workplace and to the store should be the post- Covid-19 new normal. It will ease traffic congestion and lessen pollution. It will also promote one’s physical health and wellbeing because it is a form of exercise.”
Umapela naman ang lady solon sa mga kompanya na maglagay ng mga rest and shower facilities at bike parking spaces para sa kanilang mga empleyado.
“This could be substitute compliance to the requirement that companies allowed to resume operations under GCQ and modified GCQ should provide shuttle service to their employees,” dagdag pa ni Castelo.
