SA mga lugar na walang internet, printed materials, telebisyon at radyo ang gagamitin ng Department of Education para makapag-aral ang mga estudyante na hindi papayagang pumasok sa paaralan.

Sa press briefing sa Malacañang, sinabi ni Education Sec. Leonor Briones na ang gagamiting paraan ng pagtuturo ay depende sa sitwasyon ng isang komunidad.

“We are used to learners, we are used to teachers facing each other and we are used to children going to school physically but we are saying that there will be face-to-face classes and sessions until we are assured of the safety of our children and our teachers. However, we also believe, Mr. President that we can provide learning opportunities to our students without necessarily requiring them to go to school and this we can do through what is described as blended and distant learning,” ani Briones sa kanyang ulat kay Pangulong Duterte.

Sinabi ni Briones na hindi na bago ang mga pamamaraan na gagamitin ng DepEd.

“Mr. President this is not a new thing. We have many universities and schools, which offer the distant learning in many ways. We now call it blended learning because various approaches are adjusted to the actual situation of the communities will be applied.”

Ang unang paraan ay ang pagpapadala ng mga printed materials sa mga bahay sa tulong ng barangay at lokal na pamahalaan.

Maaari rin umano na kunin ito ng mga magulang sa partikular na oras at lugar.

“And the second approached is now very popular Mr. President, this is the online learning platform and in DepEd we have what we describe as DepEd Commons right now we have over 7 million subscribers where in lessons, homework, quizzes, tips to learners and to teachers are all in the DepEd Commons and are accessible even to the parents.”

Sa mga lugar na wala o mahina ang internet connectivity at mahirap ang pagpapadala ng mga printed materials, telebisyon at radyo ang gagamiting paraan ng pagtuturo.

“In cases where there is no connectivity and printed materials may not be available immediately we have the classic long time approaches which has always been used in education this will be television. Those homes which do not necessarily have connectivity may have television. And the most and the best used approach of course is radio based instruction.”

Mayroong batas na nagmamando sa broadcast companies na ilaan ang 15 porsyento ng kanilang oras ang dapat na ilaan sa mga programa para matuto ang mga bata.

Humahanap na umano ng paraan ang DepEd para maipasok sa programang ito ang kurikulum ng DepEd.
