Mas malaking ospital sa Las Piñas kailangan
MULA sa 200 ay itataas sa 500 ang bed capacity ng Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGHSTC) upang mas marami itong maserbisyuhan.
Inaprubahan na ng Kamara de Representantes sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang House bill 3314 na akda ni Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar.
“In this time of a health crisis, we need to fully equip our public hospitals with adequate resources and manpower and increase their bed capacity to accommodate more patients,” ani Villar.
Sa pagdami ng pasyente na maaaring tanggapin ng ospital ay itataas din ang bilang ng doktor, nurse at iba pang hospital personnel nito.
Paliwanag ni Villar bago pa man ang coronavirus pandemic ay kulang na ang bed capacity ng ospital para sa mga pasyenteng pumupunta.
“The increase in the bed capacity will aid in addressing the mandate that all Filipino patients accommodated in government hospitals will be provided with the necessary hospital services, which is within the spirit of the enactment of the Universal Health Car Act,” dagdag pa ng lady solon.
Ang LPGHSTC ay itinayo noong 1977 at nag-iisang state-run hospital noon sa katimugang bahagi ng Metro Manila. Ginawang Las Piñas District Hospital ang pangalan nito noong 1984.
Noong 2004 naging medical center ito sa pamamagitan ng panukala ni Sen. Cynthia Villar na noon ay kongresista ng lungsod.
Ang Las Piñas City ay may populasyon na 627,602.
