Apela ng ABS-CBN, suspindehin ng NTC ang pagdinig sa pagbawi ng frequency
UMAPELA ang ABS-CBN Corp., sa National Telecommunications Commission na huwag bawiin ang frequency nito.
Hiniling ng ABS-CBN sa NTC na suspindehin ang pagdinig nito sa nakabinbing resolusyon kaugnay ng pagbawi ng frequency ng istasyon.
“Recent developments in Congress…strongly indicate that ABS-CBN will soon be granted a new legislative franchise and will be able to resume operations,” saad ng Verified Answer and Compliance ng ABS-CBN sa NTC.
May nakabinbin din umanong petisyon ang ABS-CBN sa Korte Suprema.
Noong Mayo 5 ay binigyan ng NTC ang ABS-CBN ng 10 araw upang magpaliwanag kung bakit hindi nito dapat bawiin ang frequency na ibinigay sa ABS-CBN.
Mayroon din umanong resolusyon ang Senado pabor sa istasyon.
“Worse, if the frequencies were to be reassigned to a third party, ABS-CBN would have to comply with all the regulatory processes for transferring to a new set of frequencies, even assuming that there would be available frequencies. ABS-CBN would also have to incur significant capital expenditures for re-tuning its equipment or replacing its broadcast system,” saad pa ng ABS-CBN.
