PSA: Agricultural production ng bansa bumaba ng 1.2 porsyento

BUMABA ng 1.2 porsyento ang produksyon ng agrikultura sa first quarter ng 2020.
Ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority bumaba ang ani at huling isda pero tumaas naman ang produksyon sa livestock at poultry.
“Crop production, which accounted for 54.9 percent of the total agricultural output, decreased by 2.1 percent during the quarter. Palay and corn production went down by 3.6 percent and 3.4 percent, respectively.”
Tumaas naman ang livestock production ng 0.5 porsyento. Ito ang bumubuo sa 17.9 porsyento ng kabuuang agricultural production. Ang hog production ay lumago rin ng 0.7 porsyento.
Ang produksyon naman sa poultry sector ay lumago ng 3.9 porsyento sa unang tatlong buwan ng taon. Ang sektor na ito ay 14.3 porsyento ng agricultural output.
Bumaba naman ng 5.2 porsyento ang fisheries production na 12.8 porsyento ng kabuuang agricultural production.
Sa kasalukuyang presyuhan, ang halaga ng agricultural production ay P441.2 bilyon, mas mataas ng 3.4 porsyento kumpara noong 2019.
