P600M pondo dagdag sa ipamimigay sa vendors ng QC

NAGLAAN ng P600 milyon ang Quezon City para palawigin ang matutulungan ng Kalingang QC financial assistance program.

Ang pondo ay galing sa P2.8 bilyong supplemental budget na ipinasa ng lungsod.

“We saw the pressing need to expand the financial aid program after many ambulant and unregistered vendors were discovered during the first wave,” ani Mayor Joy Belmonte sa isang press statement.

Marami umanong hindi rehistradong vendor ng dry goods at cellphone accessories sa lungsod na dapat ding bigyan ng P2,000 cash aid.

Tutulungan din sa dagdag pondo ang mga solo parents, persons with disability (PWDs) at senior citizens.

“We want to make sure that all vulnerable sectors will be covered so we allotted part of our supplemental fund for them,” ani Belmonte.

Naglaan ng P200 milyon ang lungsod para sa 100,000 QC residents na mga driver ng public utility jeeps, tricycles, pedicabs, taxis, Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) at UV Express, market vendors, at iba pang daily wage earners na naapektuhan ng Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Ayon kay Rogelio Reyes, hepe ng Public Employment Service Office (PESO), na hanggang noong Abril 21 ay 36,582 benepisyaryo na ang nabigyan ng tig-P2,000 tulong pinansyal.

Sinabi ni Reyes na isang malaking hamon ang pagtulong sa 200,000 senior citizens na bibigyan ng tulong pinansyal dahil hindi maaaring lumabas ang mga ito.

Ang pagbabahay-bahay umano ay naglalagay sa panganib sa mga naatasan na mamigay ng tulong.
