Face shield
NANAWAGAN ang Department of Science and Technology (DOST) sa publiko na huwag bilhin ang mga face shields na ibinebenta online at pinalalabas na gawa ito ng Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC).
Ayon sa DOST hindi nito ibinebenta ang mga field shield na gawa ng MIRDC.
“We did not and we will not allow any seller of face shields to use our design, our name and our logo just so they can do business. Face shields that are mass-produced by the DOST-MIRDC are given to front-liners for free,” ayon sa pahayag ng DOST.
Nanawagan din ang ahensya ng donasyon na polypropylene at acetate sheets upang mas marami itong magawang protective gear.
Sa tulong ng Omnifab and Megasamsotite, sinabi ng DOST-MICRD na makagagawa ito ng 5,000 face shields kada araw.
Ang molde ng face shield frames ay ginawa sa mga laboratoryo ng DOST-MIRDC.
