MAIBABALIK umano ang tulong pinansyal sa mga empleyado na naapektuhan ng Enhanced Community Quarantine kung muli itong lalagyan ng pondo.
Ayon kay Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III hiniling nina Senators Joel Villanueva at Christopher Bong Go na dagdagan ang pondo ng COVID Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP), isang one-time P5,000 assistance sa mga apektadong empleyado.
“We are hopeful that some positive developments are coming along the way for our displaced workers,” ani Bello. “We are grateful to Senators Villanueva and Go for their unwavering support in helping our workers tide over during this health crisis.”
Inihinto ng DOLE ang pagtanggap ng aplikasyon sa CAMP dahil P1.6 bilyon lamang ang pondo na nakalaan dito.
Nanawagan si Villanueva sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na dagdagan ang pondo para matulungan ang 1,696,814 empleyado ng 63,335 establisyemento.
Sa bilang na ito, mahigit 1.2 milyon ang hindi pumapasok dahil sa pansamantalang pagsasara ng kanilang pinapasukan at mahigit 550,000 ang nasa alternative work arrangement gaya ng reduced workdays, rotation, forced leave at telecommuting.
Umabot na sa 264,154 empleyado ang natulungan sa ilalim ng CAMP na nagkakahalaga ng P1.32 bilyon at wala ng P300 milyon ang natira rito.
Pinakamarami ang labor displacement sa Metro Manila (570,523 empleyado) na sinundan ng Central Luzon (274,910), CALABARZON (123,687), Davao region (100,275), Region 10 (94,101), Region 2 (86,467), Central Visayas (68,250), Cordillera region (61,200), Region 6 (59,548), Bicol region (57,205), MIMAROPA (51,167), CARAGA (36,390), Region 8 (33,649), Region 1 (32,017), Region 9 (30,530) at Region 12 (17,895).
