COVID-19 recovery bonds para magkapondo ang gobyerno

KUNG kakailanganin ng pondo, maaari umanong maglabas ang gobyerno ng COVID-19 recovery bonds para mapondohan ang mga ospital at pangangailangan ng mga naapektuhan ng Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Ayon kay House Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero bukod sa pag-utang ay mayroong mga opsyon ang gobyerno para matugunan ang kakulangan ng pondo.

“I also suggest that the Department of Finance tap the global capital markets for funds through the issuance of COVID-19 Bayanihan Recovery Bonds. Our country’s strong economic fundamentals make us creditworthy for this bold move,” ani Romero, isang ekonomista.

Aabot umano sa P1 trilyon ng kakailangan ng bansa upang matugunan ang mga pangangailangan nito at mapagulong muli ang ekonomiya.

“Some of that P1 trillion can be funded with P500 billion in COVID-19 Bayanihan Bonds. Some could be financed with another P500 billion in multilateral loans, bilateral loans and grants, debt-for-equity swaps, capital infusion in big-ticket projects, a variety of technical grants, and supplemental financing for local government units, among others.”

Dapat umanong kalkulahin ng mabuti ng Department of Finance ang magiging kalagayan ng ekonomiya sa susunod na 10-20 taon upang maging madali ang pagbabayad sa mga ito.

Mas makabubuti rin umano kung iaalok sa mga negosyante sa bansa ang mga bonds.
